“Be prepared that this paella is an al dente one. I was with a family of 6 adults and two kids. It was fun but I think it took Tony longer to get started since there was a lot of conversation. My shrimps and mussels were not cooked, unless Madrid paella believe that the shrimp and mussels should be undercooked. There was also a sangria class. Wish he had mentioned the contribution of the Arabs having introduced rice to Spain instead of saying that it originated in the 14th century”

“What a fun tour. Go hungry as you’ll have plenty of foods to try. The churros and porros with chocolate sauce and coffee were an excellent ‘first’ breakfast. The savory breakfast of jamon and cheese and wine/beer was equally good. We visited the Mercado and had samplings of olives, anchovies and figs. One of the most interesting stop was to sample olive oils. We ended with a wonderful meal of warm tapas and more drinks. We didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. I highly recommend this tour.”

“This was a horrible food tour. We could not have been more disappointed. The tour went to one bar and one restaurant a block away. We received a small nameless glass of wine and then went to one restaurant and were served three very small dishes . Two were local Spanish food and the other had nothing to do with Madrid cuisine. In total we had 5 “tastings” on a tour labeled as “ a 6 to 10 tasting private walking tour “. The food was not good and there was no explanation given about the area, the food or the culture. We never walked anywhere and we were offended…”
